NC: Character - Male Racer idea continue

So I have coloured the male racer and will probably go through some colour schemes to see which fits, this one is in reference to gears and cogs being silver, copper or gold. Then adding the black for the gentlemanly scientific theme.

NC: Narrative and Character: Film Review tasks - Adaptation

In light of the season and that I have chosen to write my adaptation peace on the famous story about an elderly gentleman, a miser, a crook, Ebenezer Scrooge. A Christmas Carol was written by Charles Dickens and is a tale about a man who hates Christmas and continues to until his late partner Marley visits him and tells him that he will be visited by three ghosts that will evidently change his life. Each ghost, one from the past, the present and the future show his life in all three perspectives. Changing his view point of the world drastically.

The book is just one story, but there have been many many films that bring this Adaptation to the big screens. Dating back right until as early as 1901, each film depicts the same story but in its own way, with and without music. There has been a Muppet adaptation and a fully animated adaptation. The story has hit home many a time and has never ceased to amaze us.

The first few editions of the movie have had to omit something from the plot to keep the movies short, but as the years progressed and the times that movies can be on the screen got longer more of the story could be stretched out and included. This is evident in the latest creation by Disney created back in 2009. Staring Jim Carey as Scrooge it is my most favourite of the movies, this version of Scrooge includes great effects, stunning voice acting and realistic concepts.

A Christmas Carol (2009) did successfully well in the box office and is well known to date to be the most watched and most loved version of the tale today.

NC: Narrative and Character: Film Review tasks - Documentary.

The Rules of Documentary

What we do in the Shadows.

Personally I am not a big fan of documentaries. Therefore I simple wish to review the only one that I actually enjoyed watching, which happened to be the one we watched for this lecture section. ‘’What we do in the shadows’’ is a mockumentary documentary about a group of vampires who share a house/flat in New Zealand. This mockumentary takes comedy and fiction to a whole new level. Bringing these out-of-time vampires and throwing them into the real world where they squabble over the dishes and pathetically quarrel with a rival gang of werewolves. This barely seems like a documentary, only when they explain that the camera men have crosses and stakes and practically almost get eaten by a werewolf. The vampires bite a faintly annoying guy, who duly turns into a vampire and wants to hang out with them, and he brings along his best mate, a really nice non-vampire human bloke called Stu. The concept of the whole thing is just out of the world and completely stupid but still very entertaining. It simply is just a film about everything we know about vampires, then about modern day affinities with vampires.

NC: Character: In progress.

So after going back over my notes I've begun constructing a new design for one of the male character for my game. This specific design is to show the theme of a gentleman of the period, but also involving the aspect of steam punk, of the mechanics.
